Welcome to the Three Rivers Bird Dog Club's official website!

Fuller Ranch is where all the fun, training, meetings, and events take place.
The grounds are planted and groomed specifically for bird dog training. It is just a short 10 minute drive from down town Kennewick, WA.

                                                         ABOUT US

The Three Rivers Bird Dog Cub is a chartered, non-profit organization of pointing breed dog enthusiasts, principally from the greater Tri-Cities area of Washington. However, membership is open regardless of residency. The club is devoted to upland bird hunting, the training of pointing breed dogs and pointing breed dog events. The club sponsors or otherwise facilitates for fund-raising and breed enhancement purposes both the National Shoot to Retrieve Association (NSTRA) sanctioned field trials and American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned hunt tests. Other bird dog organizations such as the UKC and NAVHDA are also represented in our membership. Members of local and regional breed-specific pointing breed dog organizations are represented, as well, and welcomed to our club. Those who are just pointing breed dog upland bird hunters, and desire to associate with other pointing breed dog people make up the bulk of our membership.

The club has access to 100 acres of specially groomed dog training and trialing grounds and an adjoining 90 acres of CRP land, all located 10 minutes from Kennewick, WA. It is at this location that we usually hold club-sponsored NSTRA field trials, AKC hunt tests and monthly club Fun Day/Training Day events. With permission of the land owner, members can use this property for dog exercise and training.

Regular pointing breed dog training events (fun days) are held where members can obtain pen-raised quail, chuckars or pheasants, typically at a discount, for use in bird dog training. The club also holds an annual sporting clay shoot, a fall team hunting event and an annual banquet in early January. Meals associated with these events may be subsidized with club funds. Membership also allows the use of club equipment such as electronic and manual tip-up bird launchers.

The club meets monthly at the Fuller Ranch and issues a monthly newsletter via e-mail to its membership. Members not having access to e-mail, can receive the newsletter by postal mail.

Memberships are available per year. For additional information, contact the club’s secretary at 509-628-8875, or at bruce_bernacki@yahoo.com, or the club’s President Bruce at: 509-585-6215 or at outlawsatlarge@msn.com
